On the Seventh Day of Christmas, my true friend gave to me...
Christmas All Year Long…
A CHRISTMAS THOUGHT FOR THE DAY… "Having Christ Is Having Christmas Every day"
Red West wrote a Christmas song popularized by Elvis Presley—If Every Day was Like Christmas. The lyrics go like this:
“I hear the bells
Saying Christmas is near
They ring out to tell the world
That this is the season of cheer
I hear a choir
Singing sweetly somewhere
And a glow fills my heart, I'm at peace with the world
As the sound of their singing fills the air
Oh, why can't every day be like Christmas
Why can't that feeling go on endlessly
For if everyday could be just like Christmas
What a wonderful world this would be”
The answer to the question in the song –Oh, why can't every day be like Christmas?—is simple. Every day is like Christmas when we know Christ intimately as our precious Lord and Savior. Yes, having Christ is having Christmas every day. Don’t settle for the prelude of celebration and presents without finding the true gift of Christmas—faith in our Lord and Savior. No other Christmas gift can compare!

I LOVE TO TELL THE STORY…"Charlie’s Christmas All Year Long"
In the last ten years of Charlie Tremendous Jones’s life his greatest passion as a committed Christian was to bring busloads of orphans to his farm for a day of fun. Over a period of years he obtained several circus rides to go along with the par 3 golf course and pool on his property. It was a paradise and an incredible experience for these young kids who had never seen such a layout.
It was an all day picnic, and the kids would be literally worn out by the time the final activity was to take place. Charlie had a machine shop among the old buildings on the property which he had converted into his “Christmas Room.” When you walked in, though it might be August, it was totally decorated for Christmas.
The kids didn’t know what to think. Their big eyes absorbed the Christmas trees, the piles of Christmas candy in bowls, and they were immediately engaged in the Christmas music Charlie was playing. They simply didn’t know what to think!
Charlie had an old Karaoke machine loaded up with Christmas carols and he immediately started the sing-a-long, instructing the kids to join in; they were all overcome with joy, and the spirit of Christmas in the middle of summer as they sang Christmas carols to their hearts content.
The message he was sure to leave with each member of the visiting groups of kids was that if you believe in Jesus Christ and accept him as your savior, every day is Christmas!
Charlie “Tremendous” Jones went home to be with God in October of 2009. Throughout his life, Charlie Jones gave lavishly of his time and money. He once announced to his friends, “I’ve given up on giving.” Charlie explained, “Everything I have, my life, my potential, my time was given to me. I’ve decided to spend the rest of my life returning.”
What a vital message for Christmas. We need to give up on giving because we haven’t been giving in the first place. How can you give what you do not own? We aren’t really GIVING to God. We are RETURNING to God what was God’s already.
It’s time we see the New Year as new chance to pass on, with a spirit of gratitude, some small part of the gifts we have been given. We get to say thank you to God by returning some blessings to this world one day at a time.

YOUR MIRTHFUL MOMENT OF THE DAY...
She hurried to the pharmacy on Christmas Eve to get medication, got back to her car and found that she had locked her keys inside. The woman found an old rusty coat hanger left on the ground. She looked at it and said "I don't know how to use this." She bowed her head and asked God to send her some HELP.
Within 5 minutes a beat-up old motorcycle pulled up, driven by a bearded man who was wearing an old biker skull rag He got off of his cycle and asked if he could help.
She said: "Yes, my daughter is sick and it is Christmas time. I've locked my keys in my car. I must get home. Please, can you use this hanger to unlock my car?"
He said "Sure." He walked over to the car, and in less than a minute the car was open. She hugged the man and through tears said "Thank You SO Much! You are a very nice man."
The man replied "Lady, I am NOT a nice man. I just got out of PRISON
yesterday; I was in prison for car theft."
The woman hugged the man again sobbing, "Oh, thank you, God! You even
sent me a Professional!"
…Now that is a message that Charlie Tremendous Jones would have loved—“You are a tremendous professional theif!”
